Project description
At Bauhaus Earth we seek to transform building and human settlements from a driver of climate and societal crises into creative forces for systemic regeneration. We believe that only a complete systemic overhaul of our built environment will prevent a global climate and social catastrophe. Since 2022, Experimental Foundation and Bauhaus Earth are supporting Fellows in the development of projects that contribute to the implementation of the building turnaround through the impact of design expression and architectural quality. 

Student assistants at the Fellowship Program support the development and management of the program content, organization and communication while working closely with both the project leads and the Fellows throughout the development of their applied research. Your mission
  • Conduct research in sustainable architectural design, building materials, and construction;
  • Support the process of design, planning, and construction of prototypes in Fellowship projects;
  • Organise events such as workshops and exhibitions;
  • Create social media content related to the Fellowship Program.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who:
  • is highly motivated, well-structured, and proactive; willing to work in an interdisciplinary research team;
  • is genuinely interested in Bauhaus Earth research topics (e.g., material value chains, circularity, LCA);
  • is currently enrolled in a M.A. or M.Sc. program in architecture, urban design, or a related field;
  • is highly proficient in written and spoken English (essential). Proficiency in German is not required but would be a significant advantage;
  • has strong representation and communication skills (graphic, text, mixed media);
  • works swiftly with Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, Microsoft 365, and Google Drive (knowledge of CAD and GIS is desirable).

Projektbeschreibung
Wir vom Bauhaus Erde wollen Gebäude und Wohngebiete von einer treibenden Kraft für Klima- und Gesellschaftskrisen in kreative Kräfte für eine systemische Regeneration verwandeln. Wir glauben, dass nur eine vollständige systemische Überarbeitung unserer gebauten Umwelt eine globale Klima- und Sozialkatastrophe verhindern kann. Seit 2022 unterstützen die Experimental Foundation und das Bauhaus Erde Fellows bei der Entwicklung von Projekten, die durch die Wirkung von gestalterischem Ausdruck und architektonischer Qualität zur Umsetzung der Bauwende beitragen. 

Die studentischen Hilfskräfte des Fellowship-Programms unterstützen die Entwicklung und das Management der Programminhalte, der Organisation und der Kommunikation und arbeiten eng mit den Projektleitern und den Fellows während der Entwicklung ihrer angewandten Forschung zusammen. Deine Aufgaben
  • Durchführung von Forschung in den Bereichen nachhaltiges Architekturdesign, Baumaterialien und Konstruktion;
  • Unterstützung des Entwurfs-, Planungs- und Bauprozesses von Prototypen im Rahmen von Fellowship Projekten;
  • Organisation von Veranstaltungen wie Workshops und Ausstellungen;
  • Erstellung von Inhalten für soziale Medien im Zusammenhang mit dem Fellowship-Programm.
Dein Profil
Wir suchen jemanden, der/die:
  • hoch motiviert, strukturiert und initiativ ist; bereit ist, in einem interdisziplinären Forschungsteam zu arbeiten;
  • ein ausgeprägtes Interesse an den Forschungsthemen des Bauhaus Earth (z.B. materielle Wertschöpfungsketten, Kreislaufwirtschaft, LCA) hat;
  • derzeit in einem Master- oder Master-Science-Studiengang in Architektur, Städtebau oder einem verwandten Bereich eingeschrieben ist;
  • sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift hat (unerlässlich). Deutschkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich, wären aber von großem Vorteil;
  • über gute Darstellungs- und Kommunikationsfähigkeiten verfügt (Grafik, Text, Mischtechnik);
  • schnell mit Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, Microsoft 365 und Google Drive arbeitet (CAD- und GIS-Kenntnisse sind wünschenswert)
